The texture of this jute is a lot rougher than the synthetic stuff I've used before, which actually grips the cat's claws better. I re-wrapped our wobbly trunk post in about 20 minutes and it's held up through a week of aggressive scratching without fraying.
The 100-foot length is honestly way more than I expected for the price, so I've already re-wrapped two scratching posts and have plenty left over for when the cat goes at it again. The jute feels sturdy and held up well to a week of aggressive clawing without fraying into strings.
Our cat tree’s trunk was looking bald and sad, so I grabbed this rope to rewrap it—glad I did, the 100 feet was more than enough for both the trunk and the smaller post. The jute has a nice rough texture, which my cat actually seems to prefer for scratching.
