Slid right into the base after I pulled the old one out, no wrestling match at all. My cat went for it within minutes and it’s held up to her daily clawing for two weeks now. Exactly what I needed to keep the scratcher going.
The cardboard’s a bit sturdier than the original insert that came with our unit, which is nice. Installation took me maybe two minutes once I got the old one out, and our cat was scratching again within the hour. Only knock is I wish the pack came with three for the price.
