Mau Parts & Upgrades: What Replacement Parts Are Available and Why They Matter

Quick Answer

Mau offers a range of replacement parts and upgrades, including the Large Platform Bed and Castillo's replaceable cushions, designed to extend the life of your cat furniture and let you refresh its look. These parts matter because they help you maintain durability, hygiene, and style without replacing the entire piece.

When you invest in quality cat furniture like Mau's luxury trees and beds, you want them to last. But even the best pieces show wear over time, especially in high-use areas like scratching surfaces and cushions. That's where Mau's replacement parts and upgrades come in.

Mau offers specific parts that allow you to swap out worn components or customize your furniture to better suit your cat's preferences. Understanding what's available and why these parts matter can save you money and keep your cat happy.

What replacement parts does Mau offer?

Mau provides a focused range of replacement parts designed to fit their furniture models. The Large Platform Bed is a versatile option that fits all Mau models and perches, giving you an easy way to replace a tired perch or add extra lounging space. It includes a thin cushioned layer for comfort and attaches to the trunk on either the left or right side, not the center—a detail to consider when planning your setup.

Another key replacement category is cushions. The Castillo (Tall) features a premium faux fur cushion that is machine-washable and replaceable in a variety of colors. This allows you to refresh the look of your cat tree or swap out a worn cushion without buying a new unit. These parts are practical and keep your furniture functional for years.

• Large Platform Bed fits all Mau models—check attachment side before ordering.
• Replacement cushions like Castillo's are machine-washable for easy upkeep.

Why do replacement parts matter?

Replacement parts extend the lifespan of your cat furniture, which is both economical and environmentally friendly. Instead of discarding a sturdy oak or rattan frame because a cushion is flattened or a perch is scratched, you can simply replace the worn component. This approach is especially valuable for premium pieces like the Reiya or Lua, where the structural material remains in excellent condition.

Parts also let you customize your furniture to match your evolving decor or your cat's changing preferences. For example, swapping a cushion color on the Castillo can give your room a fresh accent, while adding a Large Platform Bed can create new vertical territory for an active cat. This flexibility is a core reason Mau's parts ecosystem is worth knowing about.

• Extend furniture life and reduce waste by replacing only what's worn.
• Use color-swappable parts to refresh your home's look without new furniture.

How to choose the right replacement part

Start by identifying the model of your Mau furniture. The Large Platform Bed explicitly fits all models and perches, making it a safe bet for most owners. Measure the existing perch or platform to ensure the 18" x 14" size works for your space, and note that the mounting is side-attached, not center, which could affect placement near walls.

For cushions, check your model's specifications. The Castillo (Tall) includes a machine-washable Cotton White cushion that you can replace with a different color. If you have a similar Mau bed or cave, verify compatibility directly, as not all models share the same cushion dimensions. When in doubt, contact Mau support for guidance.

• Verify your model number before ordering to ensure compatibility.
• Measure existing components against the replacement's dimensions.
